Show Description
The Lovers’ Demise album release party is a journey through the mind of a lover who seeks true connections. Combining genres like rnb, soul and jazz, Ébby is inviting real lovers to an immersive experience in which listeners are encouraged to be vulnerable and wear their hearts on their sleeve. Performances are brought to you by Ébby and Whitney Mambou.Bios
Ébby is a Cameroonian multidisciplinary artist, specializing in RnB, soul and jazz. After completing the 2024 Produced by Youth advanced program, they have been featured in two Pieces of Us seasons, on Luscious Creatures as a new artist and performed at QYAC Rainbow Riffs showcase. Now, they are working on their debut album “Lover’s Demise”, centring a queer love tale out on Valentine’s Day. With an insistance on being heard, Ébby is determined to leave a lasting impact on the world. Long version: Ébby is a multidisciplinary artist who specializes in weaving together moments that connect to both the body and soul. Spanning genres such as RnB, jazz and soul, they have dedicated their craft towards storytelling in a way that highlights the influence that their Cameroonian heritage has on their art. They have had the opportunity to participate in the Produced By Youth Advanced program where they learned to develop, finance, schedule and disseminate a music project. Since then, they have released their debut single “Tonight” which they have performed at Pieces of Us, Luscious Creatures and QYAC. In a time where most references for great jazz and soul songs are past dated, Ébby seeks to help the world rediscover why they were so affluent in the first place, all while adapting with the changing times, allowing their identity to define the concept of fluidity, rather than the other way around. Now, Ébby is currently working on their debut album “Lovers’ Demise”, out on Valentine’s Day. This album is centres a queer African love tale, incorporating different languages like French and English in a pursuit to make it accessible to listeners in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. With a great love for music and an insistance on being heard, Ébby is determined to leave a lasting impact on the world.Accolades
