Helen Nhan
DEFINITIONS
September 25 - October 14
Vernissage: Saturday, September 27, 2:00 - 5:00pm
Nhan Statement:
In this exhibition, artist Helen Nhan explores how our perceptions hold space. Redefining, within each piece, definitions by opening windows to identities.
From her latest works emerges an intimate, limited series titled Being Undone. Casting form and colour onto canvas to portray a lived experience, she creates a new chapter in order to carry the weight of the in-between.
It is a series born out of motherhood.
To find the truth behind vulnerability.
To search for the strength behind resilience.
The loss of self, found.
Throughout her artist practice, her process remains conscious in composition, the choice of colour, use of geometry, shape and form- deliberate.
