Prometheus in Evin (Ottawa) پرومته در اوین

Prometheus was an immortal figure of myth — each night, he was chained, and eagles tore at his liver, only for it to heal by morning. Yet every day, Prometheus would rise again to steal fire for the poor.

“Prometheus in Evin” is the story of women, each of whom embodies a Prometheus — women who bring forth the fire of courage and the light of life.

As if, in the depths of each of us, a Prometheus lies hidden, and each of us may take the place of one of the women in this story.

پرومته، اسطوره‌ای نامیرا بود.
هر شب در زنجیر می‌رفت و کرکسان جگرش را می‌دریدند،
و بامدادان، دوباره برمی‌خاست تا آتش را برای فقرا بدزدد.

«پرومته در اوین»
روایتِ زنانی‌ست که هر یک، پرومته‌ای نامیرا هستند.
زنانی که آتشِ شجاعت و روشناییِ زندگی را به تاریکیِ جهانِ خویش می‌بخشند.

گویی در ژرفای هر یک از ما، پرومته‌ای نهفته است و هر یک از ما می‌توانیم جای یکی از زنانِ این داستان باشیم.
