Polyamorous Family Day

@polyamorousottawaTNG and @polycommottawa are pleased to host a picnic for polyamorous families of all shapes and sizes. Come spend a relaxed afternoon in the park and meet other local polyam families in your local community! 

This is a casual drop-in/drop-out event. Stay for a while, pop in for a quick visit, or come and go throughout the day. This event is open to polyamorous adults and their families (partners, metas, found family members, and/or kids). Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

What to bring:

• Lunch and/or snacks for yourself and your family members (though feel free to bring extras to share, if you’d like)
• Any fun activities — think frisbee, hula hoops, bocce ball, bubble makers, board games, etc.
• Chairs or picnic blankets for lounging.

Where to find us:

We’ll be set up on the main field in Major’s Hill Park, near the tall monument towards the northern end of the park. Look for a purple sign with the words “TNG”.

Event rules:

1. Keep conversations PG-rated and family-friendly.
2. If someone asks what the gathering is for, just say “It’s a Family Day organized by a local community”. We don’t need people being outed to strangers. 👍
3. Do not take or post any photos of anyone without their consent. This includes the background - so be mindful of camera angles, framing, etc.
4. Avoid bringing food with nuts or nut products, since it is a common severe allergen.

Parking: Parking nearby can be found within Byward Market, at the underground parking garage at the National Gallery of Canada, and street parking on Pioneer Road. Unfortunately, all nearby parking is pay-to-park. The City Hall parkade is a 15 minute walk south-east and is a more affordable $2.
