Doors at 8PM , Show at 9PM
Show Description
Alt folk singer-songwriter Paco Dvoi, Bob Muller (standup bass) and Julia Ostertag (violin) deliver lyrical songs with existential themes. They are joined by Quebec City’s Todd Picard (ex member of Les Batinses), who performs ludic folk songs in French.
Bios
Ottawa-based alt folk singer-songwriter Paco Dvoi released his third independent album, “Seven Circles of Weird Light” in November 2024. Paco’s latest songs have over 50,000 streams on Spotify, and they explore themes related to mortality, inner peace, mystery, and creativity. Currently, Paco is performing with Bob Muller (standup bass), and Julia Ostertag (violin) at different venues in the Ottawa and Gatineau area. They are preparing to record their first album together. / TODD PICARD: Before going solo, this humorous funky punky folk guy played in legendary Quebec band "Les Batinses" and accompanied artists such as Nathalie Lessard, Stéphane Robitaille, and Juste Robert. Though serious about his artistic expression, Todd is very playful with words and sounds. His wacky imagination blends the two to create songs where improbable creatures confront each other, survive, feed, reproduce, cuddle, and die!
