They will be performing with special guest Marianne Bolton!

Bios

Gilles & the Barnburners formed in 2022, and consists of Sara Everson (sax), Matt Kletke (keys), David Bolton (bass), Chris da Costa (drums), and Martin Laforest (guitar). The group blends an eclectic range of musical tastes and experience to perform jazz standards from the fifties, sixties and seventies, with a particular affinity for Hard Bop, smoky ballads and a sprinkling of Bossa Nova.

Marianne is a multi-instrumentalist who has been singing since she could speak. With years of experience performing covers across multiple genres in bands around the city, she began a career performing solo cover sets online during quarantine. Marianne's eclectic and versatile range of songs has something for all audiences.

Accolades

Gilles & The Barnburners have played the Ottawa Christmas Market in January, Art House Cafe in April, and Ten Toes Coffee House in June.

IMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY INFO

We provide gender-neutral washrooms. We have one wheelchair accessible washroom. There is no wheelchair ramp. There is a set of 8 stairs to get into the building (7 steps, small landing, and then an 8th step). Once inside, the whole cafe floor is flat, with the exception of our small room to the side, which is a small step down.

We are licensed to provide alcohol, but serve a variety of non-alcoholic options.

This event takes place on the traditional unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.
