Covid-Cautious Burlesque Workshop Featuring Saffron St. James

Join us for a covid-cautious burlesque workshop, featuring the talented Saffron St. James.

This is a beginner-friendly workshop, so no dance, burlesque or performing experience is required! All levels are welcome.

Time: 2:00 - 3:30 PM

Location: McNabb Community Centre (180 Percy Ave.)

Due to the nature of the workshop, we require that all attendees be 18+ (no exceptions!).

Tickets: $20/each (+ fees)

The ticket cost goes directly towards paying our facilitator and the space rental.
Any leftover funds will be donated to Mask Bloc Ottawa (@maskblocott), to support the distribution of high quality masks and COVID tests to community members in so-called Ottawa.

As part of this commitment, we will be requiring masks for all those attending. We ask that all attendees wear a high-quality mask/respirator (KN95 or better) to increase the safety of our space. We will have extra KN95 & N95 masks + hand sanitizer available. If you arrive with a surgical or cloth mask, or a mask that is ill-fitting, we will ask that you choose a mask from our selection.

We also encourage folks to take a COVID test prior to the workshop, as an extra means of precaution and COVID mitigation!

If you are sick PLEASE do not attend the workshop. We do not want to risk spreading illness to our community!

More Access Notes:
☆ We will have several air filters running throughout the studio space!

☆ McNabb Community Centre is wheelchair accessible, and we welcome participants of all abilities! We will have chairs available for those who need them.

☆ There will be signage directing participants from the main entrance to the dance studio, as well as signage for the washrooms, etc.

☆ Accessible by public transit (#10, #11, #14, #55) with free parking attached to the venue (subject to availability), and street parking on surrounding streets.

☆ Low/no-scent space. Please avoid perfumes or other strongly scented products during this workshop.

☆ There will be music, but we will ensure that the volume is acceptable for all participants.

☆ We will aim to make the space as sensory friendly as possible by adjusting lights, etc.
