Chef’s Table Series Launch – Vegan Tasting Menu & Live Jazz

This evening marks the launch of Speakeasy Tapas Lounge’s Chef’s Table Series, a new culinary journey that will feature tasting menus from guest chefs and diverse culinary concepts. Each edition is designed to highlight artistry, creativity, and flavour.

To begin the series, Chef Reshad Rezai presents an exclusive five-course vegan tasting menu, showcasing the richness and innovation of plant-based cuisine. Known for his bold, globally inspired cooking and his particular passion for vegan entrées, Chef Rezai invites guests to discover a dining experience that surprises and delights.

The evening is elevated with live music by Woods & Gummeson, Ottawa’s acclaimed saxophone-piano duo. Their blend of lyricism and spontaneity creates an atmosphere of warmth and intimacy, the perfect complement to this culinary experience.

Course One – Prelude

Spinach & Celeriac Purée with Kale Crisps
A silken purée of spinach and celeriac, brightened with a hint of lemon and finished with crisp kale for contrast.

Course Two – Interlude

Leek Dumpling in Savory Tomato Reduction
A handcrafted dumpling with tender braised leek, set in a slow-simmered tomato reduction.

Course Three – Midpoint

Chanterelle Bruschetta
Caramelized chanterelles atop artisanal bread with a whisper of herbs and olive oil.

Course Four – Crescendo

Aubergine Cannelloni with Roasted Sweet Potato & Arrabbiata Sauce
A delicate roll of sautéed eggplant encasing a smooth vegetable purée, layered over roasted sweet potato and finished with a bold arrabbiata.

Course Five – Finale

Banana Django with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Banana purée folded into a velvety dessert, crowned with vanilla bean ice cream.

Optional curated vegan wine pairing available.
