Chair yoga offers a wide range of benefits from improved balance, mobility and strength training to reducing stress and supporting breath and body awareness.
This program will provide in-depth experience on how to teach accessible and safe classes for anyone recovering from injuries or surgery or with mobility limitations or physical challenges. You will learn the theory of chair yoga, practical application and modifications for chair yoga, in-class time for practice and homework study for certification. The program will provide participants with the time, space and support within a group setting to offer chair yoga classes in the community or for informally led practices at home with family and friends.
Pricing includes training, manual, practicum and certificate.

This 15 hour course is for yoga teachers, dedicated students, fitness instructors for active adults, healthcare and wellness professionals
Tracy is a certified 500 hour yoga teacher. She has been teaching Hatha yoga for several years at various Ottawa community/ senior centres, and yoga studios. She is a certified Chair yoga and Yoga for Arthritis instructor. Her main focus is teaching Gentle yoga, 55+Yoga, Chair yoga and Yoga for Arthritis.
