Advanced Performance Competition November 2025

The Advanced Performance Competition offers advanced level Piano students (Levels RCM 9 and above) the opportunity to perform for some of Canada’s top adjudicators.

1. Students will choose a piece and record themselves playing the piece.
2. The recorded video audition will be uploaded to YouTube. The YouTube link will be sent to YXVkaXRpb24gfCBvdHRhd2FzdGVpbndheSAhIGNh
3. Remember to purchase a "Student Video Audition" on Eventbrite and complete the form.

Students who pass the audition are invited to perform and be adjudicated by renowned concert pianists, university performance professors and artistic directors.

Performance invitations will be sent out to winning students one week prior to performance with invitations to perform in person.

UP TO 8 STUDENTS PER EVENT WILL BE INVITED TO PERFORM AT THE LIVE CONCERT AND RECEIVE LIVE ADJUDICATION.

Concert begins at 6 pm. Students will perform back to back and will be given comments by the adjudicator at the end of the concert.

Marks are given for each performance and at the end of the year, scholarship money, trophies and solo performance opportunities are awarded to the students with the top marks throughout the year!

March 14 - Jenna Richards (February 21 submission deadline)

March 21 - Kyoko Hashimoto (Concerto Competition, March 7 registration deadline)

Location: In-person at Steinway Piano Gallery Ottawa - 1481 Innes Road

Format: Audition is by video application which must be uploaded to YouTube with a link.
