Summer Yoga @Sancta: An Attitude of Gratitude

An attitude of gratitude
Embrace the power of gratitude to help you cultivate a thankful and open heart and a contented mind. Practising gratitude or thankfulness counteracts our natural negativity bias (which in ancient times came in useful for escaping very real threats!) allowing us to find thankfulness for our life just as it is so that we can be more accepting and at ease. The invitation here is to engage in movement to first ground the body, then specifically to release around the heart, chest back and shoulders, including pranayama to ease the heartspace and meditation on thankfulness and concluding with a guided relaxation to integrate your experience.
The class is suitable for those with years of practice or none at all and modifications and props will be available to ensure you can move comfortably. We practice in the beautiful dedicated yoga space at Sancta Café and Bookshop, mats are available or you can bring your own.
