Jeff Barone Quartet

On Saturday, April 26, the Jeff Barone Quartet will play the music of Ray Blue at Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT)’s Music in the Box Series. Guitarist Barone, joined by Alva Nelson on keyboard, Essiet Okon Essiet on bass and Steve Johns on drums, will perform at WCT’s black box space, 23 Water St. in Ossining.

For over ten years Barone has had the guitar chair for the Big Apple Circus in NYC. In addition, he has been an active session guitarist and worked on Broadway shows such as CATS, Wicked, Seussical, James Joyce’s The Dead(featuring Christopher Walken and Blair Brown) and Dear Evan Hansen. Lately he can be heard on stage or recording with actress/vocalists such as Melissa Manchester, Kathleen Turner, Linda Lavin, Joely Fischer and Lucie Arnaz. Known for his recordings (Crazy Talk and Open Up), live performances, and record producing, Barone has worked with trumpeter Tom Harrell’s Quintet along with groups led by Bobby Caldwell, and Blue Note artist Reuben Wilson and has performed at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and at jazz festivals including the JVC Jazz Festival.
