Mark your calendars for June 21st as La Roca Venue in Osage Beach transforms into a hub of outdoor adventure and family-friendly entertainment. June is Great Outdoors Month, and Branches for the Lake (B4TL) invites the community to celebrate by joining them for their second annual Family Fun Day.
This free event aims to encourage kids of all ages to unplug and explore the beauty of the outdoors. Activities will run from 5-8 p.m. and will feature a wide array of options designed to get everyone moving and reconnecting. Free admission.
"We're thrilled to bring Family Fun Day back for its second year," says Janice Gentile, president/CEO Branches for the Lake. “Many free and affordable activities will be offered, so it’s the perfect opportunity for families to put down their devices and engage with each other.”
Hang up your phones and enjoy a day full of kids’ games, music, food, outdoor yoga, face painting, planting flowers, vendor booths, painting projects, and other entertainment.
The event begins at 4 p.m. with a yoga class, open to all ages and abilities. No cost and no equipment is needed; just show up on time and join in the courtyard. From 5-8 p.m. there will be games and activities, affordable hot dogs/burgers and snacks for sale, booths/vendors on site, craft projects offered for the kids to take home, and free goodie bags to the first 100 attendees. A talent showcase featuring area dance teams, martial arts students and other groups will be featured throughout the event. A glow party will be held at sunset to mark the Summer Solstice.
Vendors are welcome to set up a booth to showcase their products/services. Supporting young entrepreneurs, youth/kids are encouraged to sign up to sell their items. Cost is $35 for indoor space with table/chairs. A raffle bucket fundraiser will be held offering many local gift baskets and gift certificates.
