All about Bobbin Lace:

What is Bobbin Lace, Anyway? Join us for a lively and hands-on introduction to the world of bobbin lace on Sunday, July 27th from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at the Gagetown Courthouse Museum (16 Courthouse Road, Village of Gagetown).

Textile artist Cat Candow will walk us through the history of this intricate craft, how it differs from other types of lace, and how the technique has traveled and evolved across cultures. You’ll see samples of different styles of bobbin lace up close, enjoy a live demo — including a reproduction from a historical image — and even have a chance to try it yourself in a mini hands-on session!

This free event is open to all ages, so bring your curiosity and come discover the beauty and tradition of bobbin lace.
