SCERA’s Indoor Season announces auditions for its Fall 2025 Theatre for Young Audiences musical production of THE TRUE STORY OF THE 3 LITTLE PIGS.
The show will be Directed and Choreographed by Brodee Ripple with Music Direction by Kathryn Laycock Little. Danielle Berry will serve as stage manager.
THE TRUE STORY OF THE 3 LITTLE PIGS will play at SCERA Center for the Arts October 13 – October 31, 2025 with 10:00 am matinees Monday through Friday for school groups and 7:00 pm shows for the general public on Monday and Friday evenings. No public show the evening of October 31.
The one-hour musical features 5 featured roles of all adult actors. Those 16 and older are encouraged to audition if their schedule permits. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, August 27 between 5:00-7:00 pm at SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State, Orem.

If you don’t have a resume or headshot, there is space where you can add in your education, training, experience, shows, etc. However, if you are new to theatre and the audition process, don’t be intimidated…we welcome talented first-timers! If you are more comfortable, you can also submit a video audition in Casting Manager.
Auditioners should prepare 16 bars of a jazzy, bold, and full of character song to match the style of the production. No accompanist will be provided – an aux cord will be available for playing tracks from your device. Please have your music cued and ready (or marked clearly) before your audition time. Cast members must be available for morning weekday rehearsals 10:00am – 12:00pm and for all fifteen weekday morning matinees and all five evening performances. A more detailed schedule will be provided once casting is final.
ABOUT THE SHOW: There are two sides to every story, and when the Big, Bad Wolf takes the stand in Piggsylvania’s Trial of the Century, he finally gets his say. But whether he’ll get a fair trial in a corrupt piggy court is anyone’s guess. Will the pigs’ splashy puppet show make a puppet out of justice, or is the wolf’s catchy song and dance about a sneeze gone wrong all razzle-dazzle? Enter the jury box and decide the fate of Big ‘n’ Bad in this clever musical adaptation of the hit children’s book.
