9 BALL SCOTCH DOUBLES CHIP TOURNAMENT-MUST PRE-REGISTER WITH TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR PRIOR TO 6 PM EVERY FRIDAY (this tournament regularly hits it's target of 20 teams), and pay/get your Chips by 6:30am.
Start time 7pm (with pre-tournament rules meeting just before)
Ends usually around 11:30pm (for those teams in the final rounds).
$50 entry fee
($40 goes into pot $10 Admin fee) per TEAM (teams of 2)
$10 optional in side pot

BONUS: Midway Historic Public House adds $200 to the total pot, and adds 1 additional pay out spot, making it at least 6 spots paid out, when 20 teams are Registered and with Payment at tournament (cash)
GAME: 9 BALL (modified BCA rules) SCOTCH DOUBLES (you shoot & if you make a ball, then your teammate shoots, etc, when you miss Opponent Scotch Doubles team does same until the 9 is pocketed-early 9 ball allowed to end the rack).

ROTATION is whomever shoots/or says push 1st determines rotation, after that you stay in that rotation for the rest of that match.
PUSH OK only after break, opposing team can decline, breaking team's 2nd player (that did not say PUSH) takes the shot)
9 BALL BREAK COUNTS AS WIN, but not in the back 2 pockts, only front 4 pockets.

NO TIME OUTS, but a BRIEF HUDDLE AWAY FROM THE TABLE-20-30 SECONDS) is ok.
MATCH ENDs when the 9 ball is legally pocketed, it's a race to
WINNING team IMMEDIATELY RACKS
LOSING team IMMEDIATELY brings a chip to the TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR (if TD is busy you wait/stay at desk until TD acknowledges you) and let's TD know what table # you lost at, the player bringing up chip waits until RELEASED by TD, do not just leave your chip and walk away, WAIT!!!!!
Once released, this is the time to QUICKLY go get a drink or order food, take a bathroom break, if you are a smoker or need some fresh air, this is also the time to do this-this tournament moves extremely fast and you will be called up in just a matter of a few minutes- do not leave MIDWAY's establishment or the FRONT OF MIDWAY's sidewalk area. If your team is called to a table, you need to IMMEDIATELY go to that table and be ready to shoot. (DO NOT PLAY VIDEO LOTTERY BETWEEN MATCHES)
WINNING TEAM please do not practice (on ANY TABLE) while waiting for your newly called opponent to come to the table, STAY AT THE TABLE and wait for your opponent, if no one has shown up at your table within 90 seconds, make note of the table you are playing at and IMMEDIATELY inform the TD, the TD will then call again or attempt to locate the team and get them to the table, at least one teammate should be at the table at all times.
CALLED team, if you are not immediately available and/or do not get to your assigned table, with your cues, ready to shoot within 90 seconds, the TD may decide to take away a chip- HAVING A CHIP (OR ALL CHIPS) TAKEN AWAY is always at the discretion of the TD, there may or may not be a warning, depending on the severity of 1 or both teammates actions. Severe enough actions could get you banned from the tournament, and possibly Midway itself. The TD has total discretion and choice to allow or not allow someone into their tournament. TD does not have power to override decisions made by Midway, it's staff, manager(s), consultant(s) or Owner(s). Rules subject to change.
HANDICAP: Both players must have a Fargo rating with 200 robustness (alternative is an ESTABLISHED (20 matches or more) RECENT APA handicap-with this information the TD will determine if a TEMPORARY FARGO HANDICAP can be given.
