An evening with Eva Stachniak

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: On Friday, May 30, our book club will welcome a special guest. Eva Stachniak is the Polish-Canadian author of several bestselling historical novels, among them 'The School of Mirrors' and 'The Winter Palace.'

She'll be talking to us about her books and inspiration and writing process and then will take questions.

This event, exceptionally, will be open to all who are interested (women and men), so please feel free to invite friends.

The event will take place in the British Club, as usual, and will begin at 7:30 pm.

Eva was a guest speaker with us over Zoom a couple of years ago, and we really enjoyed our conversation with her.

For this meeting, our book club decided to focus on reading her novel 'The Winter Palace' about Catherine the Great. That said, there is no required reading for this event.
