Children will explore powerful stories that go beyond entertainment. This event is a springboard for imagination, reflection, and important life lessons—helping young readers design their own “personal playbook” for success while having tons of fun!

What to Expect:
• A live reading of Keon’s Most Valuable Playbook, participants are invited to bring their copy to read along.
• A welcoming, inclusive environment that honors all learning styles.
• Activities that promote leadership, literacy, and confidence with a splash of Book Boogie!
• A chance to connect with local role models and KCFF volunteers.

Who Should Attend:
Children grades 3rd - 5th (ages 8-10) and their families. This event is free, but registration is limited so reserve your spot today.

Kids will listen, laugh, and learn as the story comes to life - filled with powerful messages about dreaming big, staying focused, and believing in yourself. Whether it's their first time hearing it or their tenth, this reading is sure to inspire every young legend in the room.

Info: Dream Team Draft: Kids will write about their biggest dream and name the all-star supporters who help them shine.

Info: In between Playbook Power Times sessions, its time to shake it out and show off your moves! Our Book Break Boogie Dance Battles bring the energy with quick dance-offs where kids can freestyle, follow fun prompts, or challenge a friend. With music pumping from our DJ and surprise guest judges in the crowd, winners walk away with cool prizes - and everyone walks away smiling!

Info: After all the fun, it's time to pause and power up your brain! In Read. Reflect. Think., kids will share what they learned from the book, the activities, and their favorite moments of the day. This quick reflection helps ups understand what stuck - and gives our young MVPs a chance to show off growth!
