- **Event Description**: Collaborative Problem Solving Level 1 - A Trauma-Informed, Brain-Based, Skill-Focused Approach for Working w/Youth with Challenging BehaviorAbout this EventPUBLIC VIRTUAL SEATS: Participants who are permitted to attend virtually per Think:Kids guidelines are:Participants from approximately a 200 mile radius from Burns, Oregon (location of Host Agency - Harney ESD)Participants from agencies and organizations from any location that have previously trained staff with Bowman Consulting GroupTraining dates & times are TWO DAYS from 8:00am - 4:00pm PST on each of the following dates:MONDAY - June 23, 2025TUESDAY - June 24, 2025This 2-day "Collaborative Problem Solving Level 1 Essential Foundations" training is appropriate for:- Educators (Teachers, Administrators, Specialists, Counselors, Preschool Educators, etc.)- Juvenile Justice, Law Enforcement & Other First Responders- After-School and Childcare Providers- Mental Health & Medical/Pediatric Professionals- Parents and Caregivers of Children and AdultsRelationally based and neurobiologically-grounded, CPS views challenging behavior as a learning disability or delayed development of some very crucial cognitive (thinking) and self-regulation skills necessary to handle the demands of everyday life.Through a more empathetic and accurate understanding of what is getting in a child's (or adult's) way, we (parents/caregivers, educators, clinicians) are better able to intervene to support children (and adults) through a collaborative process of teaching skills and solving problems.
