Grab your popcorn and join us every Third Thursday at 5:30 PM for Daisy Talk, a fun, fast-paced 20-30 minute delightful discussion where we dive into all kinds of movies—from laugh-out-loud comedies to edge-of-your-seat action flicks and tear-jerking dramas. We’ll pull out those hidden life lessons you didn’t even realize you were learning while binge-watching your favorite films. Whether it’s navigating the chaos of family life like in Blended, finding your purpose like Kung Fu Panda, or just trying to survive the craziness of everyday life like the superhero or supervillain- Venom, we’ll find the connections between what’s on screen and what’s happening in real life.

Whether you’re a veteran, a spouse, or just someone who loves a good movie, come for the conversation, stay for the laughs, and leave with some resources, support, and maybe even a mentor who won’t judge you for quoting movies too much.

Structure:

Welcome & Introduction (2 minutes)

• Quick hello and intro to Daisy Talk—the only place where watching movies totally counts as self-improvement.
• Reveal the film of the day (anything from Mrs. Doubtfire to The Fast and the Furious—because life is both funny and fast).

Movie Reflection & Key Themes (5 minutes)

• Highlight the funniest, most action-packed, or most heartfelt scenes.
• Discuss the surprisingly deep life lessons hiding in all that chaos, like resilience, relationships, personal growth, and finding your zen even when things get ridiculous.

Open Group Discussion (8 minutes)

• So… ever had a moment where life felt like a scene from The Hangover or Die Hard? Share it!
• What movie moment hit a little too close to home—or made you rethink how you handle life’s plot twists?
• We’ll laugh, we’ll reflect, and probably over-analyze that one scene we all love.

Real-Life Applications & Resources (3 minutes)
