About this Event

Welcome to the Schedule/Information Page for the Air National Guard Contemporary Base Issues Course

The primary goal of the CBI Course is to prepare all current and future Air National Guard leaders to work together as a team to identify, analyze, and resolve contemporary base issues. This course is not limited to senior leaders; all officers, including JAGs, NCOs and other personnel in supervisory or leadership positions, are encouraged to attend. Commanders are encouraged to attend with their JAGs and paralegals. Topics are discussed via lecture and student interaction over a two-day period.

This is a Friday-Saturday course. Each day begins at 0730 and ends at approximately 1630. There are regularly scheduled breaks along with a 75 minute period dedicated to lunch each day. Slides are not provided; however, you will receive reference information and notetaking material. There is no preliminary work required for this course.

TO REGISTER: Scroll down to view the CBI course schedule.  Announcements with links to register are sent out about 45 days prior to each CBI course and our posted to our Registration and FAQs page found at:

NOTE: Many government computers block the use of Eventbrite. If you encounter registration problems, blank screens, or error notices, the best work around is to use a personal computer or mobile device.

COMMUNICATION: All CBI communication is via email; correspondence may be sent on weekends, nights, or holidays. If you are a traditional guardsman, consider submitting an email that you check regularly.  It is recommended that you register with your civilian email address so you can get updates during the CBI if necessary.  You won't be able to change the email address after you are registered.  You may reach us at:  YWlybmcgISBjYmkgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ==

LODGING/TRAVEL: The confirmation email provides as much information as possible; please use Mapquest or Google maps for more detailed directions as needed.  If suggested lodging/requirements or travel information are not listed, or if you have questions about travel, utilize DTS or contact your local TMO or SATO. Each person is responsible for their own travel and lodging.

TRAVEL DAYS: The day before and the day after the course (unless otherwise determined by your leadership) are to be utilized for travel.

UOD:  OCPs, flight suits, or any combination of blues.

ORDERS/Funding: Local unit training (not school) funds should be used.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENT: All attendees must be fully vaccinated to attend.

WAITLIST: If you see a "waitlist" notice, the course is full and you may place your name on the waitlist to be notified if a seat opens up for you. Waitlist notifications are released once a cancellation is received, which may be at night, on a weekend, or during a holiday. Seats are released in chronological order according to the date a member joins the wait list.  If notified, you will have 48 hours to register; if you do not register within those 48 hours, the seat is released to the next member on the list. If you miss the 48 hour window and still want to attend, you will have to place your name on the waitlist again. It may be best to use a personal email address for waitlist notifications.

CANCELLATIONS: Please forward all notices of cancellation as early as possible to YWlybmcgISBjYmkgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ== if you are unable to cancel on your own through Eventbrite. If a member ends up being able to attend a course after s/he has cancelled, s/he must register as a new student if a seat is available or add her/his name to the course waitlist in hopes of getting another seat.

TO HOST: Send initial email to YWlybmcgISBjYmkgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ== with the name, email address, and phone number of the primary POC for the course director and administrator to contact.

Courses are scheduled at various locations within the United States and surrounding U.S. Territories. We greatly appreciate each host unit for inviting us, and we look forward to putting on some great courses in FY 2022.
