Opening Reception for "Memorializing the Underground Railroad: The Harry B. Matthews Collection""

Join us as we open "Memorializing the Underground Railroad: The Harry Bradshaw Matthews Collection". This exhibit uses books, images, and objects to tell the story of the Underground Railroad, the Abolitionist movement, and the Civil War.

Harry B. Matthews is a historian, mentor, and educator, whose work and life have been dedicated to the uplift of African-Americans in the past and the present. His unparalleled collection, on public display for the first time, presents a unique opportunity to explore the history and relevance of the Underground Railroad in New York State and beyond.

Admission is free. Refreshments will be served. This event will take place alongside the reception for "he Study of One Thing: the Zen Arts of Jody Hojin Kimmel, Sensei".
