Tri-Faith Initiative is proud to present the fourth annual Race, Religion, and Social Justice Conference taking place June 11th, 2025 on the Tri-Faith Commons in Omaha, NE. With this learning experience, we aim to facilitate the type of cross-cultural, interfaith and interdisciplinary connections that lead to a more resilient community.
The conference will address intersections between race, religion, and social justice across different sectors of society; we invite multi-sector approaches — nonprofit and civic leaders, community members, educators, health and mental health practitioners, artists, religious communities, and scholars. This year's theme is Fueling The Work.
Food is not just a necessity; it is a powerful tool for social change. It can highlight cultural identities, bring awareness to issues of food insecurity, and transcend cultural, racial, and religious barriers. Breaking bread together offers a shared experience that can foster understanding and unity. This conference will highlight how food can be a catalyst for social justice movements and a medium for storytelling and resistance.
