Make your own sacred drum. Tickets: $375
Join us for a full-day, hands-on workshop where you will craft your own 16-inch Native American inspired hoop drum using elk rawhide and a wooden frame. You will also create your own drumstick and have the chance to decorate your drum in a way that reflects your spirit.
Taught by David of Dragon Reiki Drums, this workshop is more than just drum making. David weaves Reiki energy, prayer, and intention into every step of the process. You will learn how to honor the materials and bring your drum to life.
The hides will be soaked in water to make them pliable for stretching and weaving. Because of this, you might get a little wet. Please wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting damp.
David’s unique lacing designs, inspired by Native traditions and infused with his own innovations, make these drums beautiful to hold and powerful to play. You will walk away with a Reiki-infused healing instrument that you made with your own hands.
Includes all materials (drum frame, elk rawhide, drumstick, and decorations)
Please bring a lunch and dress for hands-on, possibly wet, creative work
