Čtyřicet let od vydání Manifestu kyborgů se analýzy Donny Haraway ukazují být stále platné. Staré formy útlaku pomalu vystřídaly nové: Žijeme „informatics of domination“. Čelíme nárůstu manosférického šovinismu, úpadku důvěry ve vědu, demokracii i lidská práva. Online, spojení 24/7 jsme v tom všem společněji než kdy jindy, a přesto ale sami, každý za sebe, deprimovaní svým vlastním algoritmem. Skrze díla čtyř umělkyň nahlédneme na kritické reflexe i vidiny současné technologie, která se ještě nedávno zdála být dystopickým sci-fi.
𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸 (PhD) je umělkyně, výzkumnice a spisovatelka žijící v Berlíně. V 90. letech byla jednou z prvních průkopnic internetového umění a významnou představitelkou kyberfeminismu, mimo jiné jako spoluzakladatelka Old Boys Network. Opakujícími se tématy v její umělecké a akademické práci v oblasti digitálních kultur jsou umělecké infrastruktury, nové formy (politické) sebeorganizace, kritické autorství, estetika commons a technofeministická praxe a teorie. Její projekty net.art generator – webový „stroj“ na výrobu umění – a Female Extension jí vynesly pověst průkopnice net artu. Nedávné výzkumné projekty na Zürcher Hochschule der Künste: „Latent Spaces. Performing Ambiguous Data“ a „Creating Commons“. 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝘂̈𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗿 je rakouská digitální umělkyně žijící v Berlíně, která se zabývá rozšířenou animací a technologiemi rozšířené reality (XR). Kombinuje přírodní vědy, jako je biologie a neurověda, umělou inteligenci, XR a poetické budování světů v imerzivních dílech, která zkoumají lidské vědomí a jeho propletence. Její práce byly vystaveny v Centre Pompidou, Tate Modern, Ars Electronica a ICA London. Vyučuje XR na Univerzitě aplikovaných věd v Berlíně a je členkou představenstva medienkunstverein, kde se zasazuje o nové formy prezentace mediálního umění.
𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿, známá také jako Digitální žirafa, je průkopnicí digitálního umění, která má na svém kontě více než 80 samostatných a 260 skupinových výstav po celém světě. Její práce se objevily ve více než 100 publikacích a vystavovala na místech od LACMA po Florentské bienále. Přednášející, autorka 33 knih o digitálním zpracování obrazy a poezii i držitelka ocenění (včetně ceny Best in CyberArt a dvou Golden Web Awards), založila časopis a galerii The Digital Giraffe a její digitální sochy se objevují v prvním virtuálním sochařském parku na světě. Nadále utváří krajinu digitálního umění.
𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝘀𝗰𝗵 je umělkyně, aktivistka a výzkumnice, jejíž tvorba se zabývá koncepty pokroku s důrazem na výzkum, participaci a nové formy zapojení. Prostřednictvím svých filmů a uměleckých děl Manu zkoumá vliv nových technologií na každodenní život, sociální vztahy, městský prostor a politické struktury. V současné době se zaměřuje na vztahy mezi korporáty a vládou i na sociální dopady prediktivní analytiky v „algoritmickém městě“. Její díla jsou součástí sbírky Centre Pompidou, Národního archivu BFI a základní sbírky Akademie filmových umění a věd. Manu působí ve Vídni a Londýně.

Forty years after the publication of the Cyborg Manifesto, Donna Haraway's analyses remain valid. Old forms of oppression have slowly been replaced by new ones: we live in an age of "informatics of domination." We face a rise in manspherical chauvinism, a decline in trust in science, democracy, and human rights. Online, connected 24/7, we are more together than ever before, and yet alone, each on our own, depressed with our own algorithm. Through the works of four artists, we will look at critical reflections and visions of contemporary technology, which until recently seemed like dystopian science fiction.
𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸 (PhD) is an artist, researcher and writer, living in Berlin. 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝘂̈𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗿 is an Austrian digital artist based in Berlin, working with expanded animation and Extended Reality (XR) technologies. She combines natural sciences such as biology and neuroscience, artificial intelligence, XR, and poetic world-building in immersive works exploring human consciousness and its entanglements. Her work has shown at Centre Pompidou, Tate Modern, Ars Electronica, and ICA London. She teaches XR at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin and serves on the board of medienkunstverein, advocating for new forms of media art presentation.
𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿, aka the Digital Giraffe, is a pioneer in digital art, with over 80 solo and 260 group exhibitions worldwide. Her work has appeared in 100+ publications, and been shown in venues from LACMA to the Florence Biennale. A speaker, author of 33 books of digital imaging and poetry and award-winner (including Best in CyberArt and two Golden Web Awards), Whitaker founded The Digital Giraffe journal and gallery, and her digital sculptures appear in the world’s first virtual sculpture park. She continues to shape the digital art landscape.
𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝘀𝗰𝗵 is an artist, activist, and researcher whose work explores concepts of progress, with an emphasis on research, participation, and new forms of engagement. Through her films and artworks, Manu examines the impact of new technologies on everyday life, social relations, urban space, and political structures. She is currently focusing on the relationship between corporations and government, as well as the social impact of predictive analytics in the "Algorithmic City". Her works are part of the collections of the Centre Pompidou, the BFI National Archive, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Manu is based in Vienna and London.
