Reading Rodeo: Grandma’s Tipi

Meet Cookie the Chuckwagon Cook each Tuesday in June and July for a special reading of one of our favorite books about the West. Learn how the Code of the West inspired characters from children’s literature, join Cookie on Trail Rides into the galleries, and take home a memory to enjoy after your visit.

In Grandma’s Tipi, a young Lakota girl spends summer with her grandmother, learning traditions.

Locations for each week’s Reading Rodeo will be provided at the front desk.

Free with Museum admission or membership.
