3 Hours of In-Person CEs: Supervising the Journey of Becoming an Effective Therapist

In the journey of becoming an effective therapist, selecting the right therapeutic modality is crucial. For therapists under supervision, this exploration often involves a collaborative process that includes self-reflection, feedback, and practical experience. Join Terri Schuelein, LPC, as she discusses ways supervisors can foster an environment of exploration, support, and reflection to guide novice therapists toward finding the therapeutic modalities that align with their strengths and the needs of their clients.

Objectives Include:

-Exploring self-assessment strategies, including reflective exercises, that supervisors can use to help supervisees be aware of their beliefs, values, and preferences as a clinician.
-Discussing the importance of exposing supervisees to various clinical modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic approaches, and other therapeutic frameworks.
-Reviewing the importance of promoting continuous learning in supervision.
