Woven Clay Basket Workshop

Discover the art of hand-building in this creative and relaxing clay class where you'll learn how to craft a beautiful woven-style basket from clay. Using traditional hand-building techniques, including coiling, slab work, and scoring—you'll create a functional and decorative basket with a woven texture that mimics the look of fiber weaving.
Perfect for beginners and experienced potters alike, this workshop guides you step-by-step through the process of shaping, texturing, and assembling your piece. You'll have the opportunity to personalize your basket with your own creative flair—adding handles, sculptural accents, & glaze options!

*This is a two Step process class.*
-Your first step will be joining your class to create this project from scratch.
Once your item is created it will need to dry and go through it's first kiln firing. This takes approximately 2-3 weeks.-For your second step you will receive a phone call that your item is ready to paint. Painting your item does not require a class or an appointment, walk in any time & paint your project. After being painted it will go through it's Second kiln firing. The last step takes approximately 1-2 weeks, you will get your final phone call that you can take you masterpiece home!
