July Meeting

Meagan Smith RVT (Registered Vet Technician) with Action Vet Services will be giving this 2hr RACE (registry of approved continuing education) approved lecture called "Feathers, Beaks, and Claws: An Avian Review".

This course will help you to provide better care for your feathered companions.

This course covers avian review of primarily psittacines and Galliformes. It will discuss important anatomical facts in respiratory, cardiovascular, and organ systems. 📚We will then utilize those facts in discussing safe handling, exam, IV access, sedation/anesthesia, and radiographic positioning.

This course is mainly designed for those in or those that have an interest in the Avian medical field but I have spoken to the coordinator and she and I both believe that even pet owners can benefit a lot from this lecture. 🦜
