Join us as we stand on public property and shame Whole Foods for selling Meyenberg brand goats’ milk. The Vera Goat Dairy in Stratford, CA that supplies to Meyenberg has been exposed for horrid animal welfare practices, improper disposal of dead goats, and misleading marketing yet Whole Foods still sells it, without even pulling it temporarily to do their own investigation into claims that led to customers calling on them to pull the milk. 9 thousand goats are treated like commodities while languishing on dirt in their barns despite their website depicting goats on pasture. They are “human certified” but we once again see that “humane certified” is but a marketing ploy designed to appeal to customers who are willing to pay more for “humane” treatment that doesn’t exist. Whole Foods has an injunction that keeps DxE from entering their stores in California so we will protest on public property at three Whole Foods simultaneously. This event page is for the Bay Place location in Oakland.
