🎨 Brushes & Beats – Community Mural Painting Event! 🎶
In collaboration with The North Carolina Museum of Art and the Brunswick County Library, we’re inviting YOU to help us create a vibrant community mural!
Date: Tuesday, August 12th
Time: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Barbee Library Back Parking Lot
8200 E Oak Island Dr, Oak Island, NC 28465
Our mural will be a 10 ft x 5 ft ocean-inspired masterpiece celebrating the summer reading theme Color Our World. It will depict the world opening up through the pages of a book, surrounded by vibrant sea life, playful details, and rich textures created with both traditional painting and found objects — all brought to life by you, our community!

Open to all ages – no experience needed!
Free to attend!
Live music from Double Cherry Pie from 2:00–4:00 PM
Paint brushes, materials, and guidance provided
Come paint, listen to music, and be a part of something truly special!
