Social Security Benefits Workshop

Social Security is often the largest source of retirement income, so make sure you have the facts before you file! This course will take the confusion out of when to start receiving benefits and how different timing options affect your monthly payments. Whether you are married or single, you’ll learn how to file properly and do what’s best for your situation. We’ll also cover how income from other sources affects your benefits and the tax implications.

Classes are taught by U-M alumnus, Ronald C. Braun, CFP® who represents the Association of Financial Consultants™, a volunteer-run, IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing free, unbiased financial education to the public. The workshops are educational—no products will be sold.
