Want to know the secret to making magical sugar scrubs that don’t leave a greasy residue in your tub? Join me for an afternoon of creativity and fun as I show you how to create sugar and salt scrubs that smell amazing and leave your skin feeling moisturized and nourished but not greasy.
What is a sugar scrub, you might ask? A sugar scrub is a type of exfoliating skincare product that uses granulated sugar mixed with moisturizing oils or butters to physically remove dead skin cells, leaving the skin smoother and softer; essentially, it's a paste-like mixture of sugar and hydrating ingredients used to gently buff away dead skin on the body and face. A salt scrub accomplishes essentially the same thing, but it is more exfoliating than sugar, and better for the body than for facial skin - I especially love salt scrubs for sloughing away dry skin on my elbows, knees, hands and feet!
We will discuss the kinds of ingredients that are better for different skin types, and I’ll have some suggested blends on hand for you to experiment with. You can also choose to create your own blend using essential oils and botanical extracts for specific skincare issues or simply because you love the aroma.
Everything you need to make TWO 8-10 ounce scrubs is included, as well as an instruction guide to make more scrubs on your own at home.
