Come and join us and Woollenwood’s Kally Davidson for some crafting, making and designing the Magical Marlpit Mural :)
As part of the We Grow Colour we are co-creating a mural with some of our favourite elements of the garden. In this session, Kally will be sharing her crafting wisdom to experiment with fibres we have dyed. We'll be winding balls of yarn and cards of embroidery thread, then free-forming flora in crochet or knitting and we will also be learning how to make Suffolk puffs :)
The dyer's garden needs some tender loving care as well, we have some plants to water, some weeding and some planning and mapping to do. There will be some time dedicated to this throughout the session. And equally if you want to come along and just have a walk in the garden, enjoy a nap in the hammock and enjoy a cup of tea, that is also welcome.
We will provide a simple vegan and gluten free lunch, and we would love to hear your thoughts and have your input in the designing of the mural. What elements do you want to see on there? What most inspires you in the garden?. We'll have some beautiful books to look at for some inspiration as well as enjoy the surroundings.
If you would like to book, please head to the link available in the event bio. Everyone needs to fill out a booking form for their first time to this project, even if you have joined us before for another project.
With excitement,
Amy, Shona & Kally x
