Join us to hear from a panel representing a wide range of
LGBTQIA+ spaces. The panel will discuss the importance of protecting our own wellbeing, how to look out for each other, the
importance of safe spaces, and queer resilience, and how being
our proud and happy selves may be the biggest act of resistance.
Kate Hicks (they/them)
Kate is a trained Youth Worker with two jobs - A PSHE teacher for marginalised young people, and as Freelance Trainer for both professionals and young people. They are also an activist, political organiser and is finishing an MA in Public Policy.
Leanne Collier-Wilson (she/they)
Leanne self-describes as an old dyke, who has been out and proud for 42 years. For the past 3 years she has been Co-Director of QueerFest Norwich, a Queer arts and wellbeing festival celebrating LGBTQIA+ History month.
Crystal (they/them)
Crystal is a well-known Drag Queen, TV host and DJ. She came to prominence competing on the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. In 2024 Crystal successfully sued Laurence Fox for libel. She is known for being politically active and has been involved in campaigns encouraging people to register to vote.
Kit Doidge (they/them)
Kit is identifies as non-binary and queer but came out later in life between the ages of 30-34. They work as a secondary maths teacher and volunteer as the chair of Iceni RFC - an LGBTQ+ touch rugby team in Norfolk. Being a part of this club has really helped them in finding a supportive community which has led to them finding their own identity and feeling confident in who they are.
