✨🎩AUDITIONS TO BE ANNOUNCED: THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD 🎩✨
Have you ever wanted to be part of a musical where the audience decides the ending? Here’s your chance! We’re thrilled to soon be announcing auditions for The Mystery of Edwin Drood - a wildly fun, “play within a play” musical based on Charles Dickens’ unfinished novel.
This isn’t your typical musical - actors play actors in a Victorian theatre troupe putting on Dickens’ story. Audiences get to vote each night on who murdered Edwin Drood, who the lovers will be, and how the mystery ends! That means every performance is different, and every role is full of surprises.
Here’s a look at the colorful characters you could bring to life:
🎩Edwin Drood / Alice Nutting – A headstrong young man (played by a woman!) whose fate sets the story in motion.
🎩John Jasper – The choirmaster with a dark side and secrets of his own.
🎩Rosa Bud – Drood’s fiancée, innocent on the surface but with depth waiting to be uncovered.
🎩The Landless Twins (Neville & Helena) – Mysterious siblings from Ceylon with fiery tempers and hidden motives.
🎩The Reverend Crisparkle – A kindly clergyman… or is he?
🎩Princess Puffer – The bawdy, streetwise opium den proprietress with a heart of gold (and maybe a few schemes).
🎩Bazzard – The overlooked assistant who dreams of stealing the spotlight.
🎩The Chairman – The hilarious, larger-than-life narrator who keeps the show (and the audience) in line.
🎩Durdles – The gravedigger with unexpected wisdom and comic relief.
🎩Ensemble – Full of quirky, bold personalities who drive the fun and chaos.
