High Knob Outdoor Fest Fireside Storytelling – Free Workshop with Angelyn DeBord

We're excited to be partnering with High Knob Outdoor Fest and the City of Norton to offer a new festival event this year! Join us Saturday, Aug. 9, for a Fireside Storytelling Workshop at the High Knob Destination Center in Norton from 3-5 p.m. Appalachian storyteller and artist Angelyn DeBord will lead a free storytelling workshop open to ages 12+. With opportunities to share family stories and delve into folk tales from the region, the workshop is shaped around providing a sense of safety in sharing your stories and using your voice in a comfortable way.

DeBord has performed at Lincoln Center, Los Angeles Center for the Arts, Kennedy Center, and London International Festival of Theaters. She speaks with a voice that reflects her roots in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
