We have a new and exciting two day quilting workshop making a bespoke tuffet with Charlotte.
Some of you may remember Charlotte, who ran Crafty Little Lotty, sewing and craft classes, for nearly 10 years. In 2020 she decided to go back to her full time career working in TV. Charlotte now works as an Art Director on the set of Coronation Street. She was recently asked to teach her design department colleagues how to sew and so she set up a course making the Tuffet. Why don't you be one of the first to be involved with making your own special tuffet.
Learn how to make this fabulous Tuffet!
All materials and some equipment will be supplied. All you need to bring is 8 fat quarters of fabric for your topper and a small piece to cover your button.
You will also need to bring a rotary cutter, quilter's ruler, and a cutting mat. I do have some sets that you could borrow if you don't have these already.
I have 6 machines but please bring your own if you prefer.
Some sewing machine experience required but this project is easier than it looks!
You will leave on the Sunday with a completed Tuffet, a set of full-colour instructions and a pattern as I'm sure you will want to make more!
Dates- Sat 28th June & Sat 5th July 10am- 4pm
Cost: £200 per person.
Students would need to bring-
8 fat quarters
A few choices of 4" squares of fabric for their button (or you can choose from Hilary's stash in The Bullpen)
Cutting mat, at least A3 size (I have some you can use)
Quilters ruler, at least 12" ( I have one)
Rotary cutter (I have some you could use)
A light lunch and refreshments will also be included (please specify any dietary requirements).
