Basic Gundog Training Event

The Northern Pointer Club (proposed) are delighted to be able to offer to our paid up members a basic gundog training session within a 14 acre fenced training field.

Areas the trainer will cover include:

Obedience skills
Teaching a nose touch, and chin rest as hand targets to assist with recall and delivery of items
Stationary heel position
Memory retrieves
Seen retrieves
Whistle commands and signals
Scent work

Once the session is over, we aim to let the dogs have a good gallop around the field before you head home.

We will also be providing a light lunch with tea/coffee and cold drinks.

On Saturday 28th June 11-4pm.

As well as your dog you will need to bring a whistle, long line, dog treats, towels if it's wet, water for dogs although some will be provided.

The course is being run by Jan Gough of DogwerX dog training at a cost of £50 per 1 handler & 1 dog as we are limited to numbers of dogs in the training field.

Your place is not confirmed until payment is received. In the event that you are unable to attend we will open your place up and if we can fill it you will get a full refund.

Please no girls in season, as this could put the dogs off.

This is event is limited to 6 places.
