A mixed level yoga class. Beginners and more experienced students welcome. Not suitable for pregnant ladies (please see my pregnancy yoga class instead).
This class is a balance of energising and relaxing through Hatha yoga poses, breath and meditation techniques and above all fun! Teaching since 2013, I use alignment principles to help a safe practice and make my classes accessible for everyone in the class to work within their own individual needs of body and mind.
Whether you are new to yoga or have done yoga before you are very welcome, my classes are friendly and fun and I aim to ensure that every person attending is able to enjoy the yoga we do in the best way for them. I always offer alternatives so that you can work at your own pace and within the individual needs of your own body and mind. Stepping through the door of a new class can be daunting, but please be assured of a warm welcome! I have a fabulous community of students and I’d love you to be part of it.
In my classes you will always have time to settle in and a warm up at the beginning and relaxation at the end of class. In between you will find a mix of yoga poses, sometimes linked in a flowing sequence (vinyasa) and sometimes staying in a pose for a few breaths to work more deeply on alignment and feel the pose more deeply. You will always be guided by the breath and mindfully of good alignment to help you stretch safely for your body. I encourage you to challenge yourself within poses, always giving alternatives for you to work at the right pace and level for your body. I also teach breathing (pranayama) and meditation within class.
