Asymmetric Basket Workshop

We will be making a beautifully quirky asymmetric willow basket. We will be working with a solid base to make sure that everybody finishes in a day.

You will learn 3 different weaves, how to control the shape of your basket and how to make an asymmetric border, finished off beautifully with a ‘foraged’ wooden handle. The finished basket is about 23 cm in diameter.

The day starts at 10 and finishes at 4:30 or whenever you are finished.

We will share a simple vegetarian lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Working with willow requires good hand strength and dexterity, although as we are working with a solid base, this session is a little more forgiving on the hands.

The workshop costs £65. If you would like to, please bring some wood for a handle (we can cut it to size and sand it on the day) or we will have plenty here to choose from.
