There is nothing more fun or rewarding than sharing plants with others. Join us 🌱🌸
🅿️ Plenty of Parking on both sides of the green and overflow parking at the George Mullen Recreation Center.
- What ever you bring that is not shared take back with you. No leaving anything behind for others to have to attend to. Be responsible and kind to one another.
If you are wondering what to bring to the Exchange Events 👨🌾👩🌾 Bring anything you can prepare and keep viable so when sharing they can be transplanted with better chance of success. Some have used 5 gallon paint buckets with water for fresh cuttings; sandwich bags with wet paper towels around roots; seed trays with a couple forks to help lift out seedlings and small cups to put them in; plants already growing in small pots🎍; egg cartons; empty toilet paper rolls; Solo cups; plastic tote or Tupperware; some cuttings callus over and just bring the sticks🌱. Etc etc...👍
What ever works best for you 🌱 if organizing helps you prepare; some make lists, scotch tape names with marker taped to pots or around cutting or bag; as our group swaps have gotten bigger a folding table, a camp chair, or trunk of vehicle or truck bed can be used to set up a spot; Be creative and have fun 🌼
Please make a name tag 🏷 for yourself, it makes it easier to find you as well as learning who everyone is 🤗 we bring a marker so if you forget we can make you one with scotch tape & a sharpie 👍
Those who have saved plants for others please make arrangements ahead of time. Shirts with your name on it or a sign to help find you. We have grown so much and know it’s difficult and exciting to find everyone. Take your time and enjoy the day. If your label your items or make a list this will help you keep track of your plans. Please pick up after yourself do not leave things behind. At the end of the meet all left over will be given away or disposed of so don’t miss your opportunity to pick up your items and visit with others. Also do not block traffic and keep the roads clear for emergency vehicles.
Our group loves to share with one another, if your just starting out and no plants, cutting or seeds to share 🌱 don’t let that stop you from enjoying the fun; come out bring something you would like to share 🍪 🍩 💦 🪴 with others. let the fun begin, we are excited for the next Exchange, hope to see you soon.
