Join us for a day of Radio Control fun on the water & flying action featuring some of the coolest rock crawlers, scale boats, and aquatic aircrafts! This is a TWO EVENT Challenge put on by Arctic Wings RC. The event will start around 12:00PM; however, there will be show & shine at 11:00AM so anyone can show off their favorite scale rig.
EVENT 1: SCALE TRUCK & BOAT RELAY CHALLENGE
Open to all skill Levels.
Entry Fee is 10$ person / MSRC members free
Requires a scale truck/rig, trailer, & boat.
Event Description - Grab a teammate and test your skills in our unique Truck & Boat Relay! This two-person timed challenge starts on land....and...ends on land.
Driver 1: Navigate a scale truck and trailer through an obstacle course, back your trailer into the launch zone, and release the boat.
Driver 2: Take over with the RC boat and race around a set of buoys to complete a water circuit.
Load the boat back onto the trailer, and Driver 1 hauls it back through the course to stop the clock!
Fastest combined time wins. Precision, teamwork, and control are key. Prizes for top teams!
EVENT 2: FLOAT PLANE FLYING CHALLENGE
This event is only for MSRC Club Members
AMA & FAA Registration is required for ALL Pilots
Event Description - This requires the pilot to successfully navigate on water through a series of buoys before taking off in a scale like manner. The pilot will fly a circuit showing off their skills before successfully landing. Their entire flight will be judged by NON - PILOTS. Pilot with the highest score from the judges - WINS.
The location of this event is at Midnight Sun RC Memorial Field. Please follow MSRC rules to include no loose pets, keep clear from the pilot / pits area along the runway, and do not drive any RC vehicles in the parking lot (unless in the event area).
