Join Emily for an afternoon focused on healing the nervous system and interrupting the
fight/flight/freeze response that often causes so many of these symptoms. There are a multitude
of things that can contribute to nervous system dysregulation, whether it be a traumatic event or
simply a side effect of constant overstimulation from a too demanding world.
Somatic healing focuses on the belief that the emotional body and physical body are closely
intertwined and that trauma and stress can impact the body. It focuses on learning to work with
the nervous system, not against it, and use your body’s built-in communication network to foster
feelings of safety within your body.
In this introductory workshop, you will learn how your nervous system works, the difference
between the fight/flight/freeze response and which one you exhibit, as well as simple exercises,
movements, and meditations that interrupt these responses and will regulate the nervous
system.
The class costs $30 to attend
It is recommended to bring a yoga mat, but not required
