Thea Foundation Art Department -Adaja Cooper "Wish You Were Here!"

Join us as we welcome Thea Art Department artist Adaja Cooper and her show "Wish You Were Here!" to the Thea Gallery for the month of June. An opening reception with drinks and bites will be held 5:00-7:30, June 5, and is open to the public free of charge.

Magnolia native Adaja Cooper expressed a passion for the arts at an early age. A graduate of Little Rock Central High School and Hendrix College, she has hosted many solo shows. You have likely seen some of her most recent work in the public murals around central Arkansas.

After a year of traveling solo around the world, losing loved ones and grappling with the intangibility of memories, this exhibition explores the persistent ache of absence – the yearning to physically connect with what's beyond our grasp. "Wish You Were Here!" presents paintings that navigate the space between presence and absence, the tangible and the intangible.

Thea's Art Department shows for 2025 are presented by Delta Dental of Arkansas. You can also view the show June 5 - June 26, Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Or during Argenta Third Friday Art Walk June 20 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
