Join us for an exciting day of inspirational speakers, learning, and networking!

About this Event

We can't wait for Dr. Tyler Tarver to share his repertoire of strategies. Buckle up and be ready to laugh, learn, and have FUN while checking off that PD! This in-person event will be held at The Sanctuary at Argenta. General attendees will earn six hours of PD credit for the day conference. ASTA member leaders and prospective leaders will earn an additional three hours the evening P.A.L.S. Conference. Info: Kevin Hunt, Sr. helps provide individuals and groups with strategies and tools for healthy development and community-based intervention. Kevin is the executive director of Inspiring Other People (IOP). He created IOP and its core program, Lesson Learned, after being inspired to use his life experiences to provide others with the direction, decision-making, leadership skills, and confidence to be productive citizens. He was once a junior high school dropout whose life was in a downward spiral for many years. After several wrong turns and involvement with the criminal justice system, Kevin overcame these obstacles to become a community leader and college graduate who has worked for a governor and is a published author. His story is one of strength and resilience that has changed the lives of countless youth facing insurmountable challenges.

Huff has 19 years of experience in the field of education as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in rural, suburban, and urban school districts. Since his retirement from public education in 2015, C.J. has traveled internationally lending his expertise, passion and insight to schools and communities across the country seeking to improve education systems and building community resiliency. Additionally, because of his tenacity and leadership following the Joplin Tornado on May 22, 2011, Dr. Huff is often called upon to provide subject matter expertise to schools and communities recovering from our nation’s most unthinkable natural and manmade disasters.

Info: *BY INVITATION ONLY: The evening session is for ASTA member leaders and potential member leaders at the E.O. Manees House (across the street from The Sanctuary at Argenta) in North Little Rock. Wear your LUAU ATTIRE and join us for fun and fellowship! We will begin with social hour and Whole Hog BBQ at 5 PM. Promptly at 6 PM, we will begin our leadership program. ASTA will provide a hotel room at the Hilton DoubleTree in Little Rock for member leaders and prospective member leaders traveling over 40 miles. To register, you will receive an email with a registration link. Attendees will earn an additional 3 hours of professional development for this evening event.
