Pilates & Pages

Pilates and Pages combines two of our favorite things: Pilates and books! Each month we'll choose a book focused on movement and health and invite you to read it before hand.

We'll start the session with 30 minutes of movement time and then spend 30 minutes talking about the book of the month.

This session will be lead by Pilates teacher, librarian and book lover Kelly Forkenbrock.

Expect a beginner friendly, Pilates mat movement session followed by great conversation!

This month's book is called The Pilates Effect, Heroes Behind the revolution, written by Stacey Redfield & Sarah Holmes. The book talks about the people who are often referred to as the Pilates elders. These are the people that directly worked with Joesph and Clara Pilates and who went on to share the Pilates method. Each of their stories are quite interesting and you will love learning a little history behind the Pilates method!
