Magic in the Moment: Haiku as Meditative Practice

Moments, by nature, are brief. This half-day class will explore haiku writing as a practice for cultivating our attention, tuning in and transcribing with clarity, brevity, and delight, our moments of engagement with nature, other people, and our world. Our time together will include a discussion of the provocative and wild nature of the poetic form of haiku, time to draw inspiration from the land, writing time, and opportunities to share work. We’ll start with a communal lunch provided by WEI. All are welcome and invited to this opportunity for creative practice.
