Knitting 101: Learn to Knit

2 sessions – 2 hours each (6:00-8:00)

August 19 & 26, 2025

Learn to knit; no experience necessary. We will knit two dishcloths while learning how to knit, purl, cast on and bind off. You will also learn how to read a knitting pattern and how to choose yarn for your next project. We assume once you’ve learned you will want to knit more!

Supplies needed

• Pattern (free on Ravelry - Nifty Cotton Build Your Skills Dishcloth Set – Knit) will be provided at the first class
• 1 skein Coastal Cotton (3.52 oz/100g – 185 yards)
• Size US 6 circular needles (24” cable)
• Darning Needle
• 2 Stitch Markers
