Tanglewood Music Center X FreshGrass Institute

In new a collaborative initiative between the Tanglewood Music Center (TMC) and FreshGrass, TMC Composition Fellows will have the opportunity to work at Studio 9, utilizing the Meyer Sound Constellation active acoustics to experiment with spatial audio techniques in new compositions. This partnership is designed to immerse composers in an electric musical laboratory. Leading this special project are TMC Composition Faculty member Nina C. Young and FreshGrass’ Todd Reynolds, who will guide the Fellows throughout their creative processes.
The project culminates with an electronic music showcase on August 16 at 7 PM, presented by the Tanglewood Music Center and FreshGrass’ Studio 9. This performance features the original compositions by TMC’s Composition Fellows, highlighting the innovative works developed during their time in North Adams.
